7 Powerful Prayers for Motorcycle Riders

The motorcycle rider stereotype is not always looked at in a positive light. As with all stereotypes, it represents a very small section of a group and more commonly is not true.

I have greatly enjoyed researching how motorcycle riders share their faith. There are groups of individuals who use their motorcycles to help stranded drivers. As they are helping these individuals motorcycle riders will bring up the Gospels and share God’s amazing grace.

There are other groups of riders out there who will attend motorcycle events and share their beliefs. Many individuals ride to feel God’s presence, using the opportunity to clear their minds of the distractions that surround them.

God’s use of his people never ceases to amaze me. Mark 16:15 reads “And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation”. I know I do not follow the great commission as much as I should. However, I do believe that our prayers for those who are ministering will only strengthen their work.

Dear Lord, thank you for bringing us out of winter and into spring. Lord, this season allows these riders to take to the road and spread your message.

Father, I ask that you watch over this person. Please provide them with care, guidance, and protection. I ask that you surround them with your presence on their rides, Lord. Make sure to bring them home to their loved ones safe and sound. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

Prayer for Proper Motorcycle Function During Ride:

Dear Lord, I ask you today to keep my bike steady and secure. Lord, help each part perform its proper function while I am riding.

I ask that you allow the engine to be as consistent as my heart, Lord. Help it power my bike and drive me in your direction.

Father, I ask that you give my bike the suspension that is perfect for me. Lord, allow my suspension to absorb any impact from the road to keep my body from harm.

Father, please allow my wheels guidance as I drive. Help them stay strong down your path and steady in the riding wind.

Father, I ask that my brakes are sturdy when it is time to stop. I ask that you watch over their function and provide me with enough time to use them properly on the roads. Guide my grip on my brakes and my throttle, Lord.

Help me carry out your mission. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

Prayer for Someone in a Severe Motorcycle Accident:

Dear Lord, I come to you today to ask for healing in an emergency. Lord, someone I know has been in an accident. Their motorcycle was hit and they are in the throes of an emergency.

Lord, I ask that you heal this person. I ask that you let them walk away from this incident. I know you can do all things, Lord. Please give us a miracle today.

Father, please guide the doctors in putting this person back together. Allow them to take care of every issue, Lord. Please allow this person to regain every ability you gave to them when you created them.

Father, I ask that you surround this person with love. Allow them to feel your presence, Lord. Help them know they are not alone. Embrace them through the pain. Help them feel nothing while you are at work.

Lord, I ask that you allow us the opportunity to be with them soon. I ask that they know we are here for them. Allow the to feel our prays for healing to happen. Lord, please do not allow this to stop the great work this person was doing. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

Prayer for Clear Roads During Motorcycle Ride:

Dear Lord, I am about to embark on this ride. I come to you to pray for your assistance in clearing the roads.

Lord, I ask that you keep me away from construction and resurfacing. Father, help me see the warning signs. Help me be prepared. Bless me with the opportunity to avoid these dangers, Lord.

Father, I ask that you remove the water and the grass clippings from the road. I know you see these dangers before me. Help me see the things that hard for me to see while I am driving. Give me a sense of unease if I am coming near something unsafe.

Father, open my eyes to fresh gravel on the road and edge breaks in between lanes. Lord, I know these are common issues during this season. Allow me a clear mind space to notice these issues before coming in contact with them.

Lord, thank you for your protection and for taking this ride with me. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

Prayer for God’s Presence During Motorcycle Ride:

Dear Lord, I ask that you are with me today as I ride my motorcycle. Father, I ask that you calm my body and clear my mind. Help me be quiet and still as I drive, Lord, so I can hear your voice.

Father, I ask that you join me on my ride today. I ask that you use this time to teach me, to bring me words of enlightenment and encouragement. Lord, I want to be in your presence. I am yearning for your never-ending love.

Father, I ask that you use the wind to bring me a sense of peace. Please join me on my ride today and take away all of my other worries. Lord, I need to clear my head and just spend time with you.

Father I ask for you to sit with me, and let me feel your overwhelming love. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

Prayer of Guidance for Motorcycle Riders:

Heavenly Father, today I am going out to do your will. I ask that you show me the way to the lost, Lord. Show me which direction to head in, so that I can find a soul that is crying out for you.

Lord, I want to help spread knowledge about your promise of forever. I ask that you guide me when I meet someone today. I ask that you give me the right words to say, Lord. Show me how to approach faith with this person, without scaring them away.

Father, I ask that you guide me in my thoughts while I ride. Help me sit with you and feel your sense of encouragement. I know your guidance is your will, Lord. I ask that you allow me to be your messenger today. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

Closing Thoughts:

Faith driven ministry is such a blessing in every form. I am so impressed by what I have learned about motorcycle riders and their highway mission. It is such a fantastic opportunity to show Jesus’ want to serve others through actions. I pray that every single person on this mission stays safe and out of harm’s way.

1 Corinthians 11:1-2 reads “Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ.
