Waiting for test results is an overwhelming process. It can take days for a lab to get through your test, followed by however long it takes for the doctor to review them. I always found it best to wait until the doctor calls; trying to google the meaning of each test result never made me feel better.
In early 2020, right as the world was shutting down, my mother noticed a lump on my throat. I didn’t think much of it, but agreed to find a doctor who could check it out. After a biopsy and an ultra sound, the tests were coming back inconclusive. We had also just found out we were expecting our last child, so the hospital thought it best to send us to a larger University Hospital.
I was sent for another round of testing and the doctors decided I probably had thyroid cancer. Normally they suggest removing the thyroid right away, but due to my pregnancy we had to wait 17 weeks. Thankfully, the doctors did not think waiting this time would make any big changes to my health prospects.
I wish I would have leaned on God during this time in my life. I can see now all the ways he showed up for myself and my child. I can see how he surrounded us with people and family, even during a time when we were secluded from one another. We are so blessed to be able to say that both myself and our child are healthy.
Isaiah 41:10 reads, “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
I am so glad to have this verse to share with you today. God is walking with you; he is standing by you through all of the pokes and scans. Lean on him and let him take this stress away from you.

Heavenly Father, Grant me good results today, as I receive my doctor’s report from my medical tests. You gave me the strength to undergo the tests and the patience to wait for these results and I trust You will give me the strength to receive them.
Lord, I pray Your path for me includes more time in good health. I pray my doctors give me good news and that everything looks normal. I am getting older, Lord, but I try to take care of myself and live my life according to the teachings of Jesus Christ. I pray You bless me with the fruits of my hard work today, Lord.
Whatever Your path for me includes, I place my trust fully in Your Wisdom, Lord. I know You will always provide for me and I know You will bless me with health today. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
Prayer for a Good Diagnosis:
Dear Lord, I have been unwell lately and have undergone many tests to determine what ails me. I pray for Your Strength and Wisdom right now Lord, as I ask for a good diagnosis. My doctors are concerned, as is my family, and I know Your plan for me may include a difficult diagnosis.

Father I am sitting here waiting for my chest x-ray results to come in. I pray the findings are good, Lord.
Father, I want to ask you to make the x-ray clear and easy to read. Show the doctors, Lord, what they need to see on my x-ray. Allow them to see all of the necessary pieces. Give them a plan on what to do next, Lord.
Father, help them see no fluid in my body. Help my body heal so that no medication is necessary. Please allow them to only see fully functioning organs, placed perfectly by your hands, Lord.

Prayers for Awaiting a Bone X-Ray Test Result:
Lord, I ask that you help me with the pain I am in right now. Thank you, Lord, for allowing me to safely arrive to the hospital for treatment. Lord, I know you have blessed the world with all this technology. I know that without it I would just be in pain waiting for nothing.
Father, I ask that you show the doctors which ever answer heals me quickly. Lord, allow them the ability to put my bones into a position that relieves this pain.
Father, I ask that you grant me the opportunity to gain full movement back in my bones. Please heal my bones, Lord. Please grant me ease moving forward. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
Prayers for Awaiting CT/CAT Scan Results:
Heavenly Father, I ask that you sit with me while I wait for my CT scan results.
Lord, I ask that you allow the images gathered to assist the doctors in making a plan for my body’s recovery. Allow each image to successfully show my insides the way they currently are. Lord, guide my radiologist to make a knowledgeable suggestion, and my doctor to follow through with your plan for me.

Prayer for Good MRI Results:
Dear Lord, I pray for Your guidance as I receive my MRI results today. I underwent the procedure, which was very difficult, but I got through it with the strength You have given me. I hope to never have to receive one again, and I pray that the results are normal and I am healthy.
I pray the MRI was successful and will provide my doctors with the information they need. If there is something found, I pray You make it a simple thing to treat. I ask You to give me and my family a clear course of action Lord, and spare us the stress of a serious diagnosis.

Heavenly Father, I ask you to please provide positive ultra sound test results. Lord, I ask that you allow the sound waves to produce the images my doctors needed. Please allow these images to be perfectly clear, Lord.
Father, allow these images to be used with your will. Guide the doctors to see what the plan of action is, Lord. Show them the direction you have for me.
Lord, I ask that you allow me peace during this time of waiting. Help me wait and be patient. Help me feel your presence all around me, Lord. I need you now, in this room with me as I wait, Father. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
Prayers for Awaiting Covid-19 Test Results:
Father, I ask that you give me the results of Covid-19 test quickly. Lord, I know that you are watching over me and my family. Help me know if I need to separate from them, Lord.
Help me inform everyone I have been around, Father. Give me the answers I need, so I can help others keep their families safe.
Father, I ask that you make this test 100 percent accurate. Give me a firm answer on this sickness, Lord. Guide me on what my next steps should be from here on out. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
Prayer for Wisdom for Doctors
Dear Lord, I thank You for providing us with doctors to treat and heal our wounds and illnesses. I know they work through Your divine touch. I trust Your wisdom is spoken through them, and I pray for their protection and support.
But they see so much, Lord. There are so many people who need their help, and I worry they are overworked and tired. I pray You support them, Lord, embrace them and grant them rest so they can continue to do Your good work.
I pray they have clear minds as they review my test results and others, so they can see a clear treatment plan. I ask that You share Your Wisdom with them, Lord. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
Concluding Thoughts
I pray that you lean on God during this time of waiting. I pray you have test results soon, and they make sense to you. I pray you get the answers you are looking for in these tests and pray for strength as you dive deeper into what it means for your life.
I also pray that any surgery or additional diagnostics are done without stress.
Romans 12:12 teaches us to “Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.” Try to stay positive as you wait. Lean on God as much as you can, and know you are not alone during this process.

I have a job offer in UK and am asked to undergo a TB test. Which I did the x-ray was not clear enough. I was asked to go for a sputum test which i did and the result will be out by 2nd week of July 2023.

Please pray for our eldest, age 44, is healed of this very aggressive inoperable cancer found 3 short weeks ago in his esophagus. He has a young wife and 2 precious teenagers.
