A Short Prayer For February
Dear Lord, I need You in this next month. February has got to be a better month for me than January was. I have not had a good start to this new year and I ask that You surround me and help me. I know I can’t make the changes I need to make on my own, so please give me strength and guidance. I ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Prayer For Relationship Commitment on Valentine’s Day
God, I am praying to You to ask that you help my boyfriend truly commit to this relationship. Valentine’s Day is approaching and it’s an ideal time for us to move forward in our relationship with each other. I just don’t know if he is as committed as I seem to be.
I pray for him to communicate what he feels for me on our special date next week. If we can’t talk about our relationship on Valentine’s Day, then when will we? I’m not asking for a marriage proposal, but I need to know if there’s a future with him or not. I ask for this in the name of Christ, Amen.
Prayer For Health Goals in February
God, I’m doing it! I’ve hit every appointment to going to the gym and I’m sticking to my diet goals and I’m so happy about that. I am praying to You to ask for continued focus as I head into February.
I want to be able to stay consistent on my health goals in this month. I didn’t make a resolution, I made a decision to focus on my health and being able to function throughout the day. I am so pleased with the difference I feel already. I just want that to continue in February.
Help be stay true to what is good for me. I pray against any distracting thoughts or negative influences to pull me away from my focus. I pray for this in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Prayer For Celebrating Valentine’s Day
Dear Lord God, I am so happy that it is February. I like this month of love. I like that we celebrate Valentine’s Day and focus on love with all the cards and flowers and so forth.
I want to celebrate Valentine’s Day in a big way with my spouse and for my family. I am asking for You to inspire me with some ideas for letting the people in my life know that I love them. I know that it’s important to do this throughout the year, but I really want to “go big” in February.
We’ve all had a sobering January and this new month provides a great opportunity to have a celebratory reset to our mental perspective and for our emotional state. I look forward to living up the love on Valentine’s Day. Thank You for hearing my prayer through Jesus Christ, Amen.
“Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins” ( 1 Peter 4.8, NIV).
Prayer For Loneliness in February
I don’t like how I’m feeling, Lord. It seems I’m surrounded by people but I am so lonely. I rarely see my spouse because she is at work all the time. My children are older now and out of the house.
I feel like all I have is You and sometimes I don’t know how close I am to You. I know I don’t like feeling this way but I don’t have any idea about how to remedy it. So, Lord, I need Your help. What is wrong with me? Why am I feeling this way?
Throughout the day, I imagine new scenarios where things are different, but they all involve other people and other places. All of those aren’t possible and aren’t really helping–they just distract me from feeling more lonely. I am a mess, Lord and I need Your help.
Please give me a sense of belonging to something, so I can not feel so alone. I need to make connection to other people but I’m uncertain on which way I need to go, or what to do. Hear my pleas, Lord God, in the name of Christ, Amen.
Prayer For a Better Month in February
Dear God, this first month of the year has been okay but not really the great start to a new year that I was hoping for. I am praying to You for me to have a better month in February than I am having now in January.
I’m not really even asking to have a super spectacular month, just some idea of positive. I am praying for good energy, for some things to break my way, for me to have some hope as I get going into this year. I pray all of this in the strong name of Jesus, Amen.
Prayer For Saving Money in February
Father God, I am grateful that You have provided for me in this past month. I barely made it through January financially. Now that all my bills are paid, I am praying for being able to save money in February.
I pray for the financial discipline to save and not spend. I pray that I can use good decision-making as I go to the store or search online. I want to get in a solid habit of saving money regularly so I’m not surprised by financial emergencies in the future. I can do that if I save money now. Help me achieve this goal, Lord, through the guidance of the Spirit, Amen.
Prayer For Accepting Reality in February
God, I have a really simple prayer. I need to be able to accept reality in the upcoming month of February. I’ve been pushing aside the real truth of my situation for this last month, but I know that I can’t keep doing that–it’s not healthy for me mentally or emotionally.
I want to be able to be okay with my situation and stop trying to think that things would be better if this happened, or that happened. I am where I am and I’m doing what I’m doing–that’s reality. I need to be aware of what I have and be content with that, but I’m struggling.
Help me to embrace what is before me and be okay with it. I ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Final Thoughts
Once you get into February, the excitement of the Christmas holidays and the new year have passed and you are now facing the real life of a new month. It has Valentine’s Day, of course, but February is kind of the reality check of the new year. January is over and the vacation time and the bills are all past.
February means the rubber has hit the road in a lot of ways. You might not have any time off yet and your savings account has probably taken a hit from paying off your Christmas shopping. Plus, for many, it’s still winter and so going outside may not be a great option.
February can feel isolating even though it’s the month that “love” and “relationships” is celebrated. That’s why it’s a good idea to pray to God about what you’re facing in the month of February.
“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead” (1 Peter 1.3, NIV).
As you bring your worries and concerns to God through Jesus, He will meet you with the living hope that is Christ and all of his grace and mercy. May you draw closer to the Almighty as you pray for this new month. Keep on praying!
