Short Prayer Of Thanks For Healing
Lord God, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for healing me. I was down, and dark, and not feeling well and I woke up this morning and all was better. I felt lighter in my spirit and my body felt refreshed and renewed. I don’t have any explanation for it other than I prayed to You for healing and You healed me! Praise be to Your name as I give You thanks through Jesus Christ, Amen.
Longer Prayer Of Thanks For Healing
Dear God, I sit here on the edge of my bed feeling a bit overwhelmed. I have spent the last week feeling miserable, but when I woke up this afternoon, I knew that I was better. I felt well, for the first time in a long time.
I believe You healed not only my body but also my spirit. It doesn’t matter to me if You healed me through all the sleep and rest I got, or the medicines I’ve been taking. I know in my heart that You are the source of my healing and You work in any number of ways to enact Your will in my life.
I am so grateful just to be feeling like I am whole again–back to my regular self. I know that You have touched me and healed me and I give You all the praise. May I share my good news with everyone I meet this week. In the name of Jesus, I pray, Amen.
Thankful Prayer For Healing My Relationships
God in heaven, I come to You in prayer, wanting to give You much praise and thanks. I have had a series of bad relationships with different people and I am now understanding why.
You have guided me to people with good advice and wisdom. They have helped me see my part in the bad relationships. Now I grasp how I can have healthy and fruitful relationships with other people in my life. Thank you for healing me in my relational maturity.
I am so enjoying the positive conversations I have now. I am grateful for the mutual affection and support and I can now give and receive. I wish I had recognized these negative aspects sooner, but for now, I am grateful for what I have. In the name of Jesus, I pray, Amen.
Grateful Prayer For Healing My Body
Lord God, my body has been sore for so long, I just thought I would have to live with it for the rest of my life. But over the past many months, something has changed.
I am beginning to not feel as sore when I wake up, or when I go to bed. I believe You are healing my body! I haven’t really changed anything in my life, so there’s no other explanation. You have heard my cries for help and healing, and You have answered my prayers directly and tangibly!
I give You all the thanks and praise. I have a new lease on life and can actually think clearly now that I am not so focused on my pain and soreness. I didn’t realize what a distraction it was until it subsided. Thank You, Lord, for healing my body! It is through Jesus Christ that I believe and make this prayer, Amen.
Thankful Prayer For Healing My Negative Thoughts
Lord Jesus, I feel like a new person today. I have been overwhelmed with negative thoughts for several months now and I couldn’t figure out how to stop them from overloading my mind.
I tried everything, from meditation to scripture to sleep aids and nothing seemed to do it. But then I just decided to pray to You and ask You outright to rid my brain of these thoughts. As soon as I finished praying, it was like a lightbulb went on–I could see clearly how to proceed.
I could understand how to counteract the negative thoughts before they could take hold in my mind. It seems like common sense in retrospect, but I know that You provided the healing of my thoughts. I didn’t do it on my own and that means I give you the gratitude for my healing.
I am amazed at how positive I can be now. Thank You, Lord, for bringing me to this new place of actual happiness in my thought life. In the name of Jesus, I pray, Amen.
Thankful Prayer For Healing My Damaged Emotions
Father God, I know that You used a therapist to help me with my damaged emotions. I know that I have been working on changing my behavior, my reactions to things, and my thinking. All of that has helped get me to a much better place in how I feel.
But in my heart, I know, without any doubt, that You, my God, are the source of my healing. You may have used all those things, but I give You the praise and the thanks for my new life. I felt so bad for so long and couldn’t shake those emotions getting the best of me.
I also realize that how I was acting has had an effect on those around me. Thank you for bringing healing into my interactions with others. Thank you for their forgiveness–it means the world to me. Help me to keep living out this wonderful life You have given me. I thank You through Jesus Christ, Amen.
“He heals the brokenhearted
and binds up their wounds” ( Psalm 147.3, NIV).
Prayer Of Thanks For Healing My Pet
God, I don’t really care what other people may think about this, but I believe that You have healed my pet. He was acting sluggish and even despondent over the past several weeks. I asked my vet what to do and she suggested changing my dog’s food.
I did so, and he has bounced back, more like his regular self. I prayed to You to heal my dog. I don’t care whether it was through changing his food or just over time–I fully believe that You are responsible for my pet doing better and feeling better.
I give you thanks and praise for this great development. You know how important my fur baby is to me and You acted on my behalf. Thank You through Jesus Christ, Amen!
Thankful Prayer For Healing My Addiction
God, You have set me free from wanting to smoke ever again. You have healed me of my addiction to nicotine and I don’t want to step anywhere back toward that habit.
I pray for continued healing in my lungs and body, but right now I am just so grateful to be healed of my addiction. It was dragging me down and infecting my relationship with people I care about. I am filled with a thankful heart through Christ Jesus, Amen.
Grateful Prayer For Healing Our Family Dysfunction
O Lord God, I can’t begin to express how thankful I am for what You have done for my family over the past few months. We have been beset with tremendous dysfunction, for a whole number of reasons.
Through a series of circumstances that I could not have planned to have happened the way they happened, each of us was convicted of how we behaved and how we talked to one another. We were forced to actually communicate and be honest with ourselves and each other.
You brought forth conviction, understanding, and forgiveness. It has not been an easy road, and we have a long way to go, but I am so happy and thankful for the fact that we had a family dinner and everyone was smiling. We had nice conversations and no one yelled. Thank you so much, Lord. In the name of Jesus, I pray this prayer, Amen.
Concluding Thoughts
Healing can take all kinds of forms, but when it happens, it is a wonderful thing to experience. I’ve experienced healing in my body, mind, and spirit over the years. It is a joyous time of prayer when I have given thanks to God for those healing moments.
Whatever it is you are praying for, allow the Spirit of God to fill you with clarity and peace as you wait upon the Lord. Let God heal you as God sees fit, in God’s time. And when it happens, allow your gratitude to be known in voice and action.
“Dear friend, I hope all is well with you and that you are as healthy in body as you are strong in spirit” ( 3 John 1.2, NLT).
Remember, nothing is too big, or too small, to bring to God in prayer. As well, whatever healing you receive, however, it comes, should be celebrated by giving thanks to God in prayer. Keep on praying!
