7 Impactful Prayers for Team Building

Teamwork is an essential part of survival and success. When one person tries to do something alone, they often get burnt out, but when people work together, they can withstand time and grow. 

The bible reads “Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up,” Ecclesiastes 4:9-10. 

For me, this verse serves as the foundation for the term team. Even if a person is by themselves, the Lord is with them to help them succeed. If we first lean on God, we are truly never alone in our pursuits, and he will be there for us if we ever fall down. 

Building a team around this verse can only strengthen your commitment and end goal. You have worked hard to find people who fit your idea of what a team looks like. Each part of your team has different strengths and weaknesses, but together you can succeed in your goals. 

I am very hopeful these prayers will help bring the Lord closer to your team through the entire team building process. Whether you are just starting from scratch, trying to create fresh bonds, or just trying to have fun as a group. Heavenly Father, we ask you today to bring some fun into this meeting. Lord, we are gathered today as individuals using your will to guide us. We ask that you fill this room with your presence as we try to wake everyone up from their normal day-to-day. 

Lord allow us to learn something new about someone we may already be acquainted with, or to learn something about a colleague we have not yet had the pleasure of meeting. 

Bring us together on this day you have blessed us with, Lord. Help us have fun, and help us enjoy the company of those we spend so much time with every week. In Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.

Lord thank you for today and for bringing us all her together safely. We ask you today, Lord, to help us focus on our communication.

Heavenly Father, today we ask you for creativity to flow through the room. Lord, you created this beautiful earth, and we know you keep creating everything that surrounds us today. Help us channel your creativity, Lord, and create more things using your will. 

Lord, we ask that you use these activities to bring out the uniqueness in each one of us. Father, we want each person to remember what it is to make something amazing from something simple. Each person you put here holds the ability to be impressively creative, Lord, help them reconnect with that knowledge.

Lord help this activity be fun, help these individuals learn something new that can help them in the future. Allow each person to walk away from this lesson, Lord, knowing something you placed there specifically for them.

Concluding Thoughts

Asking the Lord for help with your team building will establish your team, create a great work environment, and open the door for him to work in your employee’s hearts. 

Proverbs 16:3 reads “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans,” the Lord wants to be a part of your life and your company. Following his will and doing things in his name will bring amazing outcomes to all of your lives.
