Short Prayer Thanking God For My Wife
Dear God, I enter into this time of prayer with You with my heart full of thankfulness for my wife. Not only does she take good care of me, but she really understands who I am. I am so appreciative of her kindness and love. She has made me a better man, and a better husband. Fill her with all Your blessings today and protect her from all harm. May my love for her increase on a daily basis! I pray all of this in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Thanking God For My Understanding Wife
Lord God, I am so thankful for my wife, who is full on understanding. She has a knack for seeing people for who they really are and not judging them. I’ve seen her encounter a person and quickly get a feel for what’s going on with them. She has a true gift, I believe.
I am especially grateful for her understanding with me. I make more mistakes than I’d like, Lord, but my wife is always there to remind me of the good that I’ve done. Her comprehension of my positive intent with my actions is worth more to me than any amount of money. I lift her up to You, Lord, that you might bless her in a very real way today.
I don’t know what I’d be or where I’d be without my wife, so I exclaim with gratitude to You for bringing her across my path. Thank you for opening my heart to fall in love with her. Thank you for opening her heart to fall in love with me. She is a gift to me in my life, Lord. I give you all the praise and glory, through Jesus Christ, Amen.
” Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other” (Romans 12.10, NLT).
Grateful Prayer For My Good Wife
Father God, I’m sure almost every husband would say their wife is a good wife. I am no different. But I want to take a moment and come to You in prayer, giving thanks for the goodness within my wife. You have filled her with Your goodness in mighty ways, Lord.
I have never seen her be unkind to anyone. I ask for your wisdom to guide me each day because I don’t want to ever do anything that would harm that depth of kindness within her. She is a true light in the darkness that is out there in the world. I think people can sense that within her. I’ve seen hard people change right before my eyes when she talks with them.
I am grateful for my good, loving wife. I know Your Spirit has filled her. I seek to have some of that kindness rub off on me. She has already made me a better man than I used to be, and that’s all glory to You, Lord. Surround her and protect and strengthen her. I pray this in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Prayer To Thank God For My Patient Wife
I’m not sure I deserve the wife I have, Lord God, but I sure am thankful that she married me and wants to stay married to me. I have fewer rough edges than I did before I met her, but I know I can be hard to live with, but she does. I thank You, Lord God, for the patience my wife has for me and my actions.
I can sense Your love and grace through her as she listens and helps me to see where I could have made better decisions. I want to continue to try and be a better man because I don’t want to disappoint here time and time again. I want to learn from my errors and honor her understanding and patience with me.
I don’t ever want to take advantage of her patient nature. I think that would do harm. Please help me to embrace the changes You are making in me. Help me to grow closer to You, so I can honor my wife and love her more fully. I ask this all in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Thanking God For My Wife Who Accepts Me As I Am
Lord, I am not sure how it came about for my wife to enter into my life, but she has literally been a Godsend. I don’t know if anyone else would have accepted me as she has, and still does on a daily basis. My gracious wife liked me as-is, with all my faults and strengths.
She hasn’t tried to change me, which has only made me want to change to be a better husband for her. Her acceptance really flipped my world upside down. Most of my life has been filled with rejection from any number of people, but not her. She loved me for who I was, and she loves me now for who I am becoming.
Please protect her from any harm, Lord. I don’t know what I’d do if she wasn’t in my life. I want to enjoy her and Your love through her more and more each day. I pray this in the loving name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Grateful Prayer For Connecting Me With My Wife
I shouldn’t have ended up with my wife, Lord, but I am so very grateful that You brought us together somehow. We met in a random way several years ago and we’ve been together ever since. I am forever grateful to You!
Looking back, I believe I can see Your hand at work, but at the time, I couldn’t have explained how the two of us were in the same place at that precise moment. The way we have helped each other grow closer to You means that You wanted us to be together. I give You praise, Lord God, for connecting me with my wife.
There’s no way I would have met her through a dating app or some other means. We weren’t really “compatible” when we met, but we sure were meant for each other. I can see that more and more each day and my heart is filled up with thankfulness. Thank you, Lord, for my wife! In the name of Jesus, I pray, Amen.
Concluding Thoughts

As you pray these thankful prayers for your wife, allow your heart to enlarge with a deeper gratitude for her. Let your spirit open up and see how much God has cared for you and loved you to bring her into your life.
“Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart” (Proverbs 3.3, NIV).
As you can, I encourage you to tell your wife on a regular basis how thankful you are for her. Don’t just wait for an anniversary or a birthday. Let your gratitude for her and her love shine forth on a regular basis. You can leave her a little note on the fridge, or do something for her, or give her a gift–however, it is that you express love. Speak her love language, in other words.
May your prayers for your wife lead you to a closer relationship with God, and with your wife. Keep on praying!
