Just as you did when you were younger, your daughter has to gain independence from you so she can mature into a functioning adult woman. Even so, it doesn’t matter what their age is before they go off on their own, when your daughter is away from you, you just want her back home safe with you. I encourage you to keep letting God know if you’re worried about your daughter.
As your children grow, you have to grow as well–that’s part of being a parent, regardless of how old your children are. You have to grow in your trust in God for their safety and their actions. Praying regularly can help you do that, especially when your daughter is away from home for some reason.

I’m so happy to hear from my daughter, Lord! She is going to be able to come home for the holidays! We thought she might have to stay at school and work but she just texted me and let me know she’ll be home in two weeks.
Thank You, Lord, for making this happen. I am filled with gratitude to know our baby will be home with us. I pray for her trip, even this far in advance. May the weather be pleasant enough so she can travel safely, without incident. I pray her car works properly and has no issues that would stop her from coming home.

Lord God, our daughter has had to be in the hospital for the last week due to a sudden illness and emergency surgery. Thank you for a successful surgery outcome, and that she is feeling well enough to come home. That is only by Your healing hand!
I pray for her to return home. I pray for her body to continue to heal and recover from all she’s experienced. May we be able to help her with anything she may need as she comes home. I give You thanks and praise that her work has been so understanding, and have given her extra time off to fully get back to normal. That is such a blessing.

Father God, my daughter has received an invitation to go on a school trip that is fully paid for, but it will last for ten days! I’m so very happy for her, as this is a big honor–only 30 kids in the whole state get to go on this trip.
But I am also worried because this will be the longest she has ever been away from us, away from home. I pray that she will keep her enthusiasm and excitement and that this trip is a wonderful growing experience for her.
I also pray for her safety throughout the trip. Help keep the chaperones attentive to every single person on this trip. May they have safe travel throughout the whole ten days and may no one get injured. I pray for my daughter to come home refreshed and safe from this trip.

God, I am glad my daughter feels confident enough to plan and go on a road trip with some of her friends. I guess it says something that I only heard about it from her about two days before she left. I am happy that she feels she knows enough to get this done and not worry about it.
But I am her father and I think I will always have some measure of worry for her. So, I come to You in prayer on her behalf. Help her to come home safely from this road trip. I pray that is it every bit of a wonderful experience as she told me she wanted it to be. I hope nothing bad happens and they see all they wanted to see.

Lord God, my daughter is a police officer in our country. She goes out on patrol every night and I pray for her. I especially pray for her tonight as there have been some increased threats of violence in our area. I know this is what she is meant to do, but I worry about her every night.
I’m so proud of what she has accomplished in her career so far, but tonight I just want her to come home safely and uninjured. Please keep her alert and aware of everything that is going on around her as she makes her patrols this evening.
