6 Encouraging Prayers To Cancel The Evil Plans Of The Enemy

We have all had those friends that seem very intuned to the evil plans of the enemy. However, it seems that they have taken it too far and believe all the small misfortunes of life are from the enemy. Yet we will have other friends that don’t even want to talk about the evil plans of the enemy and dismiss even recognizing that there is an evil force.

We know in scripture that there is an evil plan of the enemy, and that God is more powerful and can crush the plans of the evil one.

In these prayers we will be praying against the plans of the enemy, asking God to cancel the evil plans of the enemy, and help guide us in this battle. We will also be praising Jesus for ultimately crushing the devil’s plans once and for all on the cross.

“Since therefore the children share in flesh and blood, he himself likewise partook of the same things, that through death he might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil, and deliver all those who through fear of death were subject to lifelong slavery. (Hebrews 2:14-15 ESV)

God, I know there is a real battle and that Christians throughout the world are suffering from the plans of the evil one. I pray that you cancel the plans of the enemy. One way you cancel the plans is by equipping your people for the battle.

I pray that you help us to resist his schemes. Help us stand firm in our faith, and help us see where you are working.

“Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world.” (1 Peter 5:9 ESV)

Hold me close to you, God. Help me establish a firm foundation through your truth so I will not depart from you because of the deceitful spirits and teaching of demons. I can sometimes be so easily swayed so give me the wisdom to hear when there is a teaching that is false and see where the evil one is at work. We pray all of this in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Morning Prayer To Cloth Us For Today’s Battles

Dear Heavenly Father, you are more powerful than anything that ever was or is or is to come. I pray this morning that you go before me and cancel any of the plans the evil one may have been planning.

This morning I pray that you help me prepare for the battle. I will put on the full armor of God and praise him for the giving me these tools to defeat the plans of the evil one.

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.” (Ephesians 6:10-12 ESV)

God help me to see that the very best way to battle against the spiritual forces of evil is the Gospel. I believe that Jesus came and lived a perfect life, died a death meant for me, raised again defeating death, and will return one day. This truth changes my life.

God, I pray for the Helmet of truth that protects my thoughts. Help the truth of the Gospel to protect my thinking, that I would not worry or have sinful thoughts but that I would be focused on you alone.

God, I pray for the shield of faith and belt of truth that helps me to believe in your promises. The Gospel has great promises for me. There is the promise to justify those who believe. The promise that I will have eternal life with you because you paid my debt is overwhelming to think about. And the promise that you will return gives me great hope for the future.

God, I pray for shoes for my feet. I know these shoes will carry me to share the Gospel. Give me boldness as I proclaim this truth to those who do not know you.

God thank you for giving me the tools to cover myself and be protected against the attacks of the evil one.

Prayer For Awareness Of The Evil Plans Of The Enemy

God, I pray that you defeat the plans of the evil one. Help me to be aware of the attacks the enemy throws my way but I also don’t want my life to be consumed by these thoughts.

“Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you. Nevertheless, do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.” (Luke 10:19-20)

Jesus, thank you for taking on demons when you were here on earth. It revealed to us your power and authority. You have given us this same authority but help us not dwell on that but cling to your words to rejoice that we are yours.

Lord, help me to be aware but not to obsess with the evil plans of the enemy. Instead, help me to rejoice in your promises that give me a hope and a future. We pray this in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Afternoon Prayer Combatting The Evil Plans Of The Enemy

God, In the middle of the day when life is in full motion and the routine of the day is in full swing we may not be fully on guard against the evil plans of the enemy. I pray you go before me and cancel the plans of the evil on.

It is usually in the mundane and business of the day that the enemy strikes. So I pray you to guard me this afternoon.

Help me to not give any opportunity to the devil. Protect me from unkind talk in the lunch room, for gossip and slander. Protect me from my own thoughts and actions that my sinful nature is prone to.

And give no opportunity to the devil. (Ephesians 4:27 ESV)

God, help us not to be shocked at their lies (John 8:44), their wickedness (Micah 2:1), or their attempts to advance themselves no matter who it affects (Psalm 10:2). Through your word we know that people will act this way apart from you. Help us not to get hurt or frustrated but to pray for them and their salvation.

I pray for those around me today that still does not know you. We know that apart from you that we were all sons of the devil. Heavenly Father, we pray for their salvation and their adoption into your family. Help them to repent of their sins and turn to you.

God, I pray that the middle of my daily routine does not catch me off guard to how the enemy may attack. Keep me focused on you. I pray this in Jesus’ name, Amen.

A Prayer For The End Of A Day Of Attacks From The Enemy

God, It has been a hard day. Satan has been filling my mind with discouraging thoughts and he has used non-believers to attack me. I’m exhausted.

God, fill me tonight with your truth. I know the Gospel promises that you have redeemed me through your grace, you have adopted me into your family, and given me a future and a hope.

God, help me to see that the enemy cannot hurt me and that you will destroy any plans the devil has.

“The Lamb will conquer them, for he is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those with him are called and chosen and faithful” (Revelation 17:14)

God, you have already won the victory on our behalf, so help me not to fear. Help me to rest tonight knowing you are good and I am yours. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

A Prayer Of Praise For His Victory Over The Enemy

Lord, thank you for scripture that we can pray out of. We know that you have ultimately conquered and canceled the plans of the enemy. This prayer of praise is out from Psalm 91.

God thank you for choosing me and allowing me to dwell in your shelter. You are almighty and I stand strong because of who you are.

“My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” (Psalm 91:2 ESV)

God, thank you for delivering me from the hold of the evil one and from the death that is certain if I was apart from you. You cover me and I find refuge in you. I know this is true because you are a faithful God, and your word promises these things for me.

God, thank you for freeing me from the terrors of night or the plans of the evil one that lurks throughout the day. You are greater than all these schemes. Thank you that nothing can take away my salvation and that I dwell securely in your arms.

For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways. (Psalm 91:11 ESV)

Thank you, God, for providing all I need to not fall to the enemy. It’s your victory that gives me victory. Thank you that it was your love that delivered me and that you know me.

God, the greatest way I know how to thank you is to surrender my whole life to you. When you call I will go, even if it is not safe, because I know you have ultimately defeated the enemy.

Thank you for the gift of salvation, it is a gift I do not deserve. I praise you with my whole life, In Jesus’ name Amen.

Closing Thoughts

Thinking about the evil plans of the enemy can be overwhelming. Whether it’s impacting your workplace or a relationship with a narcissist it’s hard to handle- especially if it’s impacting key relationships like your marriage.

However, Jesus has already conquered the enemy through his work on the cross. He has also given us the tools to go to battle with. As we focus on the Gospel we will be freed from the fear of what the enemy can do.
