First, we want to congratulate you! This is such an exciting time in your life as you anticipate a new child in your family.
The word “congratulations” is typical to use to exclaim our excitement for someone conceiving however, it seems like an insufficient word.
This word implies that you accomplished something, and on many levels you have, but just as Eve noticed at the beginning of time it was only with the help of God that she was able to have a child.
Now Adam knew Eve his wife, and she conceived and bore Cain, saying, “I have gotten a man with the help of the Lord.” (Genesis 4:1 ESV)
It seems fitting then that we are here to pray to God in thankfulness for the conception of your little one.
For those of you who have been trying for some time, and may have even been down this road before and ended in pain, we know that there can be mixed emotions. You may feel like you cannot fully be happy, yet you find yourself loosely holding onto hope because the future is still unsure.

Short Prayer To Thank God For Conception
Heavenly Father, you are so good and gracious to allow me to become pregnant. You have created such a beautiful way for life to continue on this earth, and I am thankful that you have allowed me the opportunity to be part of that.
Almighty God, I know that others have been praying for us during this process. I want to thank you for them. Thank you for hearing their prayers and for answering them at your perfect timing.
God, even in the excitement of my conception I sometimes still feel weak. I thought I would be stronger and with so much more joy. This weakness reminds me that I still need you.

Praise To God For Conception
God, I praise your name for you are Lord. You are in control of the whole earth and you are in control of this tiny person that has been conceived.
“Whatever the LORD pleases, he does, in heaven and on earth, in the seas and all deeps. He it is who makes the clouds rise at the end of the earth, who makes lightnings for the rain and brings forth the wind from his storehouses.” (Psalm 135:6-7 ESV)
I pray that this conception truly pleases you and that this child will honor you for all his/her days.
I will praise you in the quietness of my room and I will shout your praise to all those who will listen. You took what we could not do on our own and made it possible for us to conceive.
God, you are good, for you chose me to carry this child. For a while, you chose for us not to conceive and the sadness and bitterness welled up inside me. But you are a gracious God, you allowed a sinner like me to experience great joy through this conception. Thank you.
You oh God will be good forever, though my circumstances may change you are constant. No matter what happens during my pregnancy help me never stop praising you for you are so good to me. I pray this all in Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
Thankful Prayers For My Husband After Conception
God, I want to thank you for my husband. Throughout this whole journey of trying to conceive, he has been so loving.
“Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church, and gave himself up for her” (Ephesians 5:25 ESV)
God, you demonstrated to him what love looked like by giving yourself up. My husband has surrendered so much time to love me well. He has given up his desire to care for me in the hard moments. Thank you for his sacrifice as we tried to conceive.
Thank you, God, for helping my husband grow during this season of trying to conceive. You have lovingly humbled him, you have guided him on how to be responsible and you have opened him up to know you more.
You are a perfect God and knew the perfect timing for us to conceive. Thank you for all that you have done in my husband’s life as we tried to conceive and I pray now that you will continue to help us both grow to be more like you.
God, I know that not everyone has a husband that is as caring as mine. I pray that those families who have a husband that needs to surrender to you that you open those men’s eyes. I pray that for the men who are absent fathers, you give them the desire to be in their child’s lives.

Thankful Prayers For My Wife After Conception
God, thank you for my wife. She has shown such strength and patients as we tried to conceive. She now radiates with beauty as we begin this new journey. You are such an awesome God to have given us this gift of conception.
Gracious Father, I pray that you help my wife continue to work out her salvation with fear and trembling. Never stopping to think she is in control but surrendering to you daily. You are the one working in her to create this child not her.
Help her to see that you are pleased with her, not because of what she has done but because of who you are.
Help her to rejoice in you always. We do not know what this pregnancy will bring but help her never stop praising you. Help her not to be anxious about anything.
do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7 ESV)
Thank you, God, that my wife is a praying wife. Help her to continue to seek you. Thank you for answering our prayers during this season of trying to conceive.
God, thank you for my wife who you have guarded and kept through this process of conception. I pray that throughout the pregnancy and throughout motherhood, you will help her to always think on your words.
Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. (Philippians 4:8 ESV)

Thankful Prayers For Those Who Prayed For Our Conception
God, thank you for hearing the prayers of our loved ones. For many months they have been praying for our conception, and you have graciously answered.
They prayed that you would keep us strong and focused on you and you answered this prayer in ways I never expected.
Even when they didn’t know what to pray, thank you for guiding them. I know that you heard our moans and knew our desires.
Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. (Romans 8:26 ESV)
They prayed that our conception would be in your timing, and we see now how perfect your timing is. We are so excited that you have answered the prayers of our loved ones.
Thank you for their persistence in prayer, for their love for us during this time. You are such a good a gracious king. We love you Lord, Amen.
Prayers For Strength From Conception To Delivery
God, I praise you for the conception of this little one but now I pray that you give me strength. Pregnancy has already not been easy, and I know childbearing will not be either.
To the woman he said,“I will surely multiply your pain in childbearing; in pain you shall bring forth children.Your desire shall be contrary to your husband, but he shall rule over you.” (Genesis 3:16 ESV)
However, I also know that you use everything for your good. So I pray that you use this time to draw us closer to you. Give me strength when I have none. Help me to surrender all my control and rest in your loving hands.
God, I pray for a safe delivery of my child. Use these months to prepare me to be a mother and also to help me become more like you. I pray this in Jesus’ name. Amen.
