Prayer For Learning a New Work Process

Dear God, there’s a new process for doing my job that’s coming in the next few days. I really need to learn this process inside and out so I can do all that’s expected of me at my company. I don’t want to get left behind or mess something up.

Prayer For Learning to Let Go of the Past

Father God, there’s so much I could pray for right now, but I want to focus on learning to let go of my past. It feels like so much heavy baggage that it’s keeping me from moving forward with my new life in Christ.

Help me to find someone who can help with this emotional work. I’m not afraid of the process, I just don’t know where to start or what steps to take. I’m ready to let go of the past and embrace what You have for me. I pray my mind will be able to rewire and take on a new way of thinking. I pray this in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Prayer For Learning School Work

Lord God, I think I have my hardest semester of school coming up and I pray that I can learn all I need to at school. There’s a couple of classes that will be new material for me and I don’t want to fail them.

Help me to ask good questions and seek additional help if I need it. I don’t want my pride to keep me from learning anything. I thank You for how You have helped in the past couple years to accept direction from others. I pray all of this in the name of Christ, Amen.

Prayer For Learning to Love Again

Lord, please help me to learn to love again. I’ve been so hurt in my past relationships that I am afraid to give out my love to anyone right now. I know that’s not a good way to live, but I have to protect my heart.

Help me to be able to trust another person and to share the love I have in my heart. Keep me safe in my relationships, Lord. I pray this in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.

Prayer For Learning to Love Myself

God in heaven, I don’t feel so great about myself right now, and haven’t for the past several months. It’s not just that I don’t like things about myself, it’s that I am not sure I actually love who I am.

There’s no way that mindset is good for me. I need to learn to love myself. I ask for You to help me to see who I am in You and to accept myself as redeemed and worthy. Send Your Spirit to open my eyes to the truth I read in scripture. Make it real for me, Lord. I ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.

“Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you” ( Philippians 4.9, NIV).

Prayer For Learning How To Live After Divorce

Dear God, I don’t know exactly how, but I am going to have to learn how to live as a single adult, now that my divorce is final. Despite all the drama and heartbreak of it, I realize that I can’t curl up in a ball and not live this new life.

I’m thankful for the support of a few of my friends and all, but I need to have confidence in who I am now and that I can move along in my path with You. Help me to learn what I need to embrace and release emotionally and mentally. I pray this in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Prayer For Learning How To Do My Job

Thank You, Lord God, for my new job! I am so filled with gratitude to even have a job in this season of life.

Now, I need Your help so I can learn how to do this job as the company has it structured. I understand the basics of it all because I’m familiar with the lingo, but I need to learn their internal tools and methods. I want to be able to do my best in this job, Lord. I thank you for leading me along, in Christ, Amen.

God, I just want to be content with what I have, with who I am. Help me to learn to be content each day. I pray this in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Prayer For Learning to Follow God

Dear Lord God, I have been following You for some time now, but I feel like I don’t know what I’m doing. I want to really learn how to follow You, to obey You and hear You as You direct my steps. I want a deeper relationship with You in the coming days and weeks and months.

I know I can’t do this on my own because I’m just a sinner saved by grace through faith. I ask for the Holy Spirit to fill me with wisdom and guide me in the path of truth. I ask that I can learn to release harmful habits or ways of thinking in my life. I want to be stronger mentally and spiritually.

I ask all of this, trusting in Your grace and mercy for me, through Jesus Christ, Amen.

Prayer For Learning How To Live After My Spouse Died

I’m alone now, Lord. My wife died five weeks ago and I’m just now able to get my head above water to even think straight and pray to You in a focused manner. I know she’s gone. I know I am on my own now.

I need to learn how to live in this new reality, regardless of how sad it is for me currently. I’m asking for emotional healing and mental strength to walk forward each day. Hear my prayer through Christ, Amen.

Prayer For Learning To Sing

Lord, I am taking a step out of my comfort zone and volunteering to be in the choir at church. I think I can sing okay, but I want to learn about how to really sing, to read the notes and understand what my part is.

I pray that I will have an open mind and a receiving spirit as I get feedback on how to better sing and hit the right notes at the right time. I am grateful that You have led me to this point and given me the confidence to do something in a public way. Continue to guide me along, in the name and grace of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Prayer For Learning How To Drive

Father God, I am now of age that I can learn how to drive a car. My dad is going to begin teaching me next week. I am so excited but also a little terrified because I’ve seen so many car wrecks and I don’t want to be in one or cause one.

Help me to grasp what my dad is going to show me and tell me. Help me to have a realistic caution so that I can fully embrace the responsibility of what driving a car means. I want to be confident when I’m behind the wheel, so that I can drive safely and enjoy the freedom that it brings. I pray all of this in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Prayer For Learning A New Language

God, I am thankful that I have the opportunity to learn a new language. I am going to be spending a good amount of time in another country and I need to be able to speak the language and enjoy the culture where I will be.

I am not afraid of learning, but I do want to be able to focus and actually “get it.” I would like to have some sense of basic fluency as quickly as possible, so I can communicate with the people I’m with there. Help my brain work properly in this new experience. I want to be able to share Your love and grace with everyone I meet, in their language. I pray this in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Concluding Thoughts

Depending on your history, learning may be an enjoyable process, or it may seem daunting. As you move along in life, you’ll always be learning, sometimes from new material or information that comes your way, or, often, through making mistakes.

You don’t have to be afraid of learning in your life, regardless of what it may be. God wants you to be able to grow in who you are and what you can do. There’s always something to learn in the different seasons of life, so why not bring all that to God in prayer?

For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope” ( Romans 15.4, NIV).

As you learn, you can embrace the hope that comes with it, knowing that all good things come from God Almighty. Keep on praying!
